Ohio Lake Erie Commission to Hold September Meeting in Lorain
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Black River Landing, 421 Black River Lane, Lorain.
Parking is available at the meeting location.
The Commission will award the 2019 Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest winners, announce the 2020 Lake Erie Protection Fund grant schedule, and provide updates on H2Ohio and Lake Erie Commission programs.
All Commission meetings are open to the public and include reports from the member state agencies, other commissioners, and advisory committees, followed by a public comment period.
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission was established for the purpose of preserving Lake Erie's natural resources, protecting the quality of its waters and ecosystem, and promoting economic development in the region. The director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) serves as the commission's chairman. Additional members include the directors of the state departments of Transportation, Health, Development Services, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and seven additional members of the public appointed by the governor.
