- Akron University Hazardous Chemical Database.
These databases will allow the user to retrieve information for any of 1991 hazardous chemicals based on a keyword search. using names, formula and registry numbers (CAS, DOT, RTECS and EPA).

Center (EADC)--Industrial Assessment Database at Rutgers
University
This site contains databases and other information relating to pollution prevention including an industrial assessment database. It was developed by a grant from the U.S. DOE.

Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility Technical Library
The EMPF technical library collection includes subject-specific materials related to the manufacturing of printed circuit boards, information on material substitutions, and includes EMPF’s published technical and research documents.

- Hazardous Solvent Substitution Data System (HSSDS)
HSSDS helps end users find alternatives to using hazardous chemicals for cleaning purposes. The system contains vendor supplied information about each product, as well as Material Safety Data Sheets that relate to each product.

The Joint Service Pollution Prevention (P2) Technical Library includes: The Joint Service P2 Opportunity Handbook which identifies available "off-the-shelf" pollution prevention (P2) technologies, management practices, and process changes, and the Environmental Products Catalog, a user-friendly publication which clearly suggests alternatives to previously used products or processes.

- P2 GEMS
P2 GEMS is an internet search tool for facility planners,engineers and managers who are looking for technical and process/materials management information on the Web. Over 125 sites with information valuable to toxic use reduction planning and pollution prevention have been selected and catalogued for easy use. P2 GEMS are Web locations accessed by key words or by selection of one of four categories: product/industry, chemical/waste, process, or management tools.
- RIPPS - Resources and Information for Pollution Prevention in the Southwest.
The RIPPS site is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and has been developed for the EPA's Region 6,but includes information that is useful nationwide. This site can help identify pollution prevention opportunities and connect you to other pollution prevention resources, including case studies and vendor information.

(TURI)
The Institute was created to promote reduction in the use of toxic chemicals or the generation of toxic by-products in industry and commerce in the state of Massachusetts. The Institute works in conjunction with the State Department of Environmental Protection and the State Office of Technical Assistance. It is a multidisciplinary research, education, and technical support center located at University of Massachusetts Lowell.

UnCover is an online article delivery service, a table of contents database, and a keyword index to tens of thousands of periodicals and an automated alerting and retrieval service that will perform an automatic search defined by the customer and alerts the customer to new articles in the UnCover database on specified topics which can also be delivered to the user's e-mail address either automatically or upon request. (Note: Some UnCover services require a fee.)
