ANG Award for Voluntary Achievement Goes to TSgt Six

Outstanding contributions to the 121st ARW environmental programs merited Technical Sergeant Mike Six with this national award. This award will be presented at the Grand Hotel in Biloxi, MS on March 19th 2003. TSgt Six is also a recipient of 121st ARW Environmental Quality Award. Dedication and efforts have resulted in eliminating all hazardous waste streams form Age operations through material substitutions and recycling/reuse opportunities. TSgt Six hosted open house vendor sessions for the base in which vendors came and demonstrated environmentally friendly products. He has been instrumental in the implementation of using re-refined engine oils, recycling used antifreeze on site and re-reclaimed JP-8 that cannot be used in the aircraft to be utilized in AGE equipment. He assisted other shops with Hazardous Material Authorization requests as well as the HazMat Pharmacy System Administrator by installing necessary programs in shop computers. Tsgt. Six promotes the Hazardous Material Pharmacy program fostering a proactive attitude amongst shop personnel. This genuine concern to improve base environmental programs is appreciated and welcomed. Congratulations to Tsgt. Mike Six for all his efforts!
