Real Estate Transfers and Environmental Requirements

On February 1, 2007 a workshop entitled Real Estate Transfers and Environmental Requirements will be held at McMahon Hall in Canfield, Ohio. McMahon Hall is located at 7574 Columbiana Canfield Rd., Canfield, Ohio. The seminar starts at 8:30 a.m., ending at noon. A tentative agenda is available.

This workshop will be hosted by Mill Creek MetroParks, Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors, Mahoning County District Board of Health, and Ohio EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP). The workshop’s goal is to familiarize realtors with environmental issues which may confront their customers. The workshop will focus on environmental issues arising from the transfer of commercial properties with some information regarding residential properties. A copy of the agenda can be found below. Presentations will be made by members of the Mahoning County District Board of Health, the Recycling Division of Mahoning County (aka, "The Green Team"), Mahoning-Trumbull Air Pollution Control Agency, and Ohio EPA. In addition to presentations, several organization will have displays with additional material of interest. Realtors will be able to receive continuing education credit for attending. Registered Sanitarian credits will also be available.

Although our target audience are Mahoning and Columbiana County realtors, reservations can be accepted from a limited number of other interested parties. If you would like to attend the workshop, please email your request by January 15, 2007 to Adrienne LaFavre
