Ohio EPA has issued and scheduled a public hearing on the draft general National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit that may potentially provide coverage to satellite collection systems in the state of Ohio. A satellite collection system is a sewerage system that is utilized to collect and transport municipal sewage or industrial waste to a wastewater treatment facility that is owned or operated by an entity other then the satellite collection system owner and/or operator. A public hearing on the draft general NPDES permit has been scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2004. See the documents below for more information.
