Ohio EPA has issued a final renewal of the general National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit that may provide coverage to non-contact cooling water dischargers in the state of Ohio. This permit represents a renewal of the original non-contact cooling water permit issued in 2000. Applicants under this permit include industrial facilities that discharge waters that remove heat from industrial processes. These waters do not come into contact with raw materials, products, or other wastes. Key parameters monitored in this permit are: Flow volume, Temperature, and pH.
