Background

The 401 Water Quality Certification  and Isolated Wetland Permit Section reviews applications regarding projects that would physically impact waters of the state, including streams, lakes and wetlands.  Their review includes evaluating proposed impacts to isolated wetlands which are not connected to other surface waters.  

If an  Isolated Wetland Permit s required, Ohio EPA encourages all applicants to review the Pre-application Guidelines and Projects and Activities of Concern before applying. After reviewing these, applicants should download the following documents:
