Incinerators

Ohio law defines incineration as a method of solid waste disposal utilizing controlled combustion. The Division of Materials and Waste Management regulates the handling of solid wastes prior to combustion and management of resulting ash.  The Division of Air Pollution Control also requires permitting of sources of emissions.  Currently, there are no municipal solid waste incinerators operating in the State of Ohio.
