Notes on DHWM's Web Site Redesign

DHWM's web site is an important component of our overall effort to provide timely and meaningful information to our various stakeholders.   With this in mind, we hope you find our redesigned site to be more dynamic, easier to navigate and informative.  Here is a summary of some refinements we've made to the DHWM site:

• Additional Final Action Information - We've included a summary description of the various types of actions DHWM administers on our Final Actions page.  To view, click on the "Final Actions" link under Division Links
• Stakeholder Involvement Consolidation - Links to draft rules, guidance, permits are directly available in a dedicated module of the division's home page so you quickly assess and go to items of interest.
• Introducing the Publications Catalogue - Looking for information on a particular topic or a specific DHWM guidance or factsheet? Try out the "Publications Catalogue" link also located under Division Links.  All available DHWM publications are now available via the Publications Catalogue.
• Refined Quick Links - We've refined the list of "Quick Links" found on our home page to focus on those topics that we are frequently asked about.  In this area you will find one click access to information on items such as generator requirements, used oil, annual reporting and other common topics. 

Unfortunately, any existing bookmarks you may have made from our old site will likely not work.  As a part of this web redesign process, Ohio EPA migrated to a new web address using the "...ohio.gov" format in order to be consistent with other State of Ohio agencies and generally accepted government web standards.  If there is information or pages that you had bookmarked from the previous site that you are unable to find on the new site, please e-mail our webmaster.  If possible, please provide the address of the web page in question.

Also, because of the web address migration to the "...ohio.gov" format, most of the web links embedded in our existing factsheets, letters and publications will not work.  We are working very diligently to update these existing links and hope to have this task largely completed by the end of the year.  If you come upon a link that is broken and you need access to that information, please notify our webmaster.

As with any major design project, we know that we will need to make refinements along the way based on feedback from web site users.  We are committed to a continuous web site evaluation/refinement process and welcome any comments/feedback.   Please direct your comments to our webmaster.
