Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Heritage Transport, LLC and Heritage Environmental Services, LLC for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on May 9, 2011. The violations occurred during a shipment between the facility located at 5451 Enterprise Blvd., Toledo, and the facility located at 1250 Saint George St., East Liverpool, Ohio. The settlement includes a $6,500.00 penalty of which $2,000.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund. The remaining $4,500.00 of the penalty will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.
Great Lakes Etching and Finishing Company

On May 17, 2011, Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Great Lakes Etching and Finishing Company modifying the 2008 Orders for past hazardous waste violations. The modified Orders allow $28,000 of the remaining $30,000 penalty to be used for a Supplemental Environmental Project with the other $2,000 to be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund.

The violations occurred at The Cornwell Quality Tools Company facility located at 200 North Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio. The settlement includes a $5,000.00 penalty of which $4,000.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund. The remaining $1,000.00 of the penalty will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

On June 15, 2011, Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Vexor Technology, Inc. (Vexor), for past hazardous waste and surface water violations and issued an administrative consent order. The violations occurred at its facility located at 955 West Smith Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. The consent order includes an exemption from the hazardous waste permitting requirements, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3734.02(G). The exemption allows Vexor to store hazardous waste for up to ten (10) business days provided the requirements found in the exemption are met. The settlement includes a $24,000 penalty that will be paid as follows:
-pay $15,000.00 into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund;
-contribute $4,000 to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program;
-pay $2,500 into the state’s environmental education fund; and
-pay $2,500 into the state’s water pollution control administration fund

The violations occurred at the Hukill Chemical Corporation facility located at 7013 Krick Road, Bedford, Ohio. The settlement includes a $29,960.00 penalty of which $23,968.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund. The remaining $5,992.00 of the penalty will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

The settlement includes a $6,400.00 penalty of which $5,120.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund, and $1,280.00 will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.
