The violations occurred at its facility located at 876 Otter Creek Road, Oregon, Lucas County, Ohio. The settlement includes a $180,000 penalty which will be deposited into the state’s hazardous waste cleanup fund.

The violations occurred at the Whitaker Finishing, LLC facility located at 2707 Tracy Road, Northwoood, Ohio.  The settlement includes a $2,000.00 penalty which will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund.

The violations occurred at the Agmet LLC facility located at 7800 Medusa Street, Oakwood Village, Ohio. The settlement includes a $23,240.00 penalty of which $18,592.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund, and $4,648.00 will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

The violations occurred during the shipments of hazardous waste by Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. facility located at 5148 Tractor Road, Toledo, Ohio. The settlement includes a $40,000.00 penalty of which $32,000.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund, and $8,000.00 will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Hukill Chemical Corporation for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on April 5, 2010. The violations occurred at its facility located at 7013 Krick Road, Bedford, Ohio. The settlement includes a $10,140 penalty of which $8,112 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund. In lieu of paying the remaining $2,028 of the penalty, Hukill Chemical Corporation will contribute $2,028 to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

The violations occurred at its facilities located at 3186 County Road 550 and 60 North Fork Lane, Ross County, Ohio. The settlement includes a $60,000 penalty of which $48,000 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund.  In lieu of paying the remainder of the penalty, Rocal, Inc. will contribute $12,000 to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

The violations occurred at its facility located at 3930 US Route 23 South, Piketon, Pike County, Ohio. The settlement includes a $64,150 penalty of which $51,320 will be deposited into the state’s hazardous waste cleanup fund.  The remaining $12,830 of the penalty will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

Ohio EPA reached a settlement with MTD Consumer Group Inc. (MTD), for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on August 26, 2010. The violations occurred at its facility located at 5389 West 130th Street, Parma, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The settlement includes implementation of an approved closure plan and a $25,000 penalty of which $20,000 will be deposited into the state’s hazardous waste cleanup fund. The remaining $5,000 of the penalty will be paid to the Ohio EPA Clean Diesel School Bus Program.

Ohio Screw Products, Inc.

Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Ohio Screw Products, Inc. for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on October 13, 2010. The violations occurred at the Ohio Screw Products, Inc. facility, located at 818 Lowell Street, Elyria, Ohio. The settlement includes a $27,880.00 penalty of which $12,728.00 will be deposited into the state's hazardous waste cleanup fund.  In lieu of paying the remaining $15,152.00 of the penalty, Ohio Screw Products, Inc. will receive a $15,152.00 supplemental environmental project credit for installing and operating a reclamation system to reuse spent mop water (D008) and an operation change of an aqueous parts washer (D008). These modifications will result in a reduction in the amount of hazardous waste generated and cause Ohio Screw Products, Inc. to be subject to the Small Quantity Generator hazardous waste requirements, rather than the Large Quantity Generator requirements..

The violations occurred at the Mercy Medical Center, Inc. facility located at 1320 Medical Center Drive, NW in Canton, Stark County, Ohio. The settlement consists of several supplemental environmental projects (SEPs) in lieu of a $19,600.00 civil penalty.  These SEPs include implementation of a pharmaceutical waste evaluation and disposal program, membership in Operation Medicine Cabinet, participation in the Drug Enforcement Administration National Take Back Initiative and hosting a Healthcare Hazardous Waste Management Symposium.

Ohio EPA reached a settlement with the Wm. Powell Company for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on June 28, 2010. The violations occurred at the Wm. Powell Company located at 2305 Spring Grove Road, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio 45214. The settlement consists of the requirement of submitting a Closure Plan within 30 days after the effective date of these orders for the Concrete Area as referenced in Finding Nos. 5, 6, and 11 of the Orders.

The violations occurred at the Don’s Automotive Group, LLC facility located at 720 North Shoop Avenue, Wauseon, Fulton County, Ohio. The settlement consisted of a $7,000 penalty which will be deposited into the state’s hazardous waste cleanup fund.

Ohio EPA reached a settlement with Ohio University, for past hazardous waste violations and issued an administrative consent order on December 8, 2010. The violations occurred at Ohio University's main campus located in Athens, Athens County, Ohio. The settlement includes implementation of an approved closure plan(s) and a $34,600 penalty of which $24,220 will be deposited into the state’s hazardous waste cleanup fund. The remaining $10,380 of the penalty will be paid to the Hocking River Commission for purchase of riparian land for conservation purposes, purchase of riparian easements and/or restoration of riparian forests with the Hocking River watershed.
