Emergency Response, Site Investigations and Radiological Safety Section (ERSIS)

The Emergency Response, Site Investigations and Radiological Safety Section (ERSIS) is responsible for a number of varied but related functions including coordinated response to environmental emergencies from fixed facilities, transportation accidents, natural disasters, and terrorism; investigations of hazardous wastes sites, brownfields, abandoned drums, and other contaminated areas; and preparation and response to radiological emergencies.
