Emergency Response, Special Investigations and Radiological Safety Section (ERSIS)

Emergency Response, Special Investigations and Radiological Safety Section (ERSIS) is responsible for a number of varied but related functions including:

• emergency spill response
• preparation and response to radiological emergencies
• criminal and civil investigations of environmental crimes
• terrorism planning and response
• response to dumping of abandoned containers and chemicals
• preparation and response to natural disasters like flood events
• mercury collection program

ERSIS Section consists of the following units:
           Emergency Response Unit (ER)
           Radiological Safety Program
