The Federal Facilities Section (FFS), formerly Office of Federal Facilities Oversight or OFFO, oversees the investigation, remediation and stewardship activities at federal cleanup sites in Ohio. The section provides cleanup oversight and facilitates environmental monitoring, emergency response, remedial actions and public outreach at Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DoD) sites in the state. FFS is charged with ensuring the health and safety of the public and the environment through effective cleanup of federal sites.
