Industrial Storm Water General Permit Set to Expire December 31st

If you are currently covered under Ohio EPA’s Industrial Storm Water General Permit, it’s important to know that your permit will expire on December 31, 2016. Ohio EPA’s Division of Surface Water is finalizing a new general permit and expects to have it completed by the end of this year. In the event that the existing general permit is not finalized by January 1, 2017, please know that your operations will remain covered until you’ve had a chance to renew coverage.

The Division of Surface Water plans to send all industrial storm water general permit holders a renewal notice in January. This notice will grant you 90-days to renew your permit and the ability to renew electronically through Ohio EPA’s eBusiness Center. If you have questions regarding the renewal process, please contact Ohio EPA’s storm water section or call Ohio EPA’s compliance assistance hotline at 800-329-7518.
