What is DRINKware?
The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters (DDAGW) has developed an integrated, user-friendly information management system, the Drinking and Ground Waters Information Network (DRINK). DRINKware is the data entry module and submittal software component of this system. DRINKware will allow electronic data exchange between DDAGW and the regulated community. The regulated community will be able to submit Monthly Operations Reports (MORs), as well as Sample Submission Reports (SSRs) via DRINKware.
DRINKware will enable facilities and laboratories to meet their reporting obligations in a much quicker and more streamlined manner than the current "paper" system. Data can be submitted via e-mail.
What Forms are in DRINKware?
DRINKware contains electronic versions of the following DDAGW reporting forms:
- Plant - Distribution Monthly Operating Report (Form 5002)
- Fluoride Adjustment Monthly Operating Report (Form 5011)
- Microbiological Contaminant Monthly Operation Report (Form 5001)
- Surface Water Treatment Plant Disinfection and Turbidity Monthly Operation Report (Form 5109)
- Inorganic Chemical Sample Submission Report (Form 5020)
- Microbiological Sample Submission Report (Form 5211)
- Pesticides and Other Organic Chemicals Sample Submission Report (Form 5029)
- Radiological and Disinfection By-Product Sample Submission Reports (Forms 5022 RAD and 5022 DBP)
- Volatile Organic Chemical Sample Submission Report (Form 5019)
What Type of Computer Will I Need?
In order to take advantage of DRINKware, users will need an IBM-compatible computer with at least a Pentium 100 processor, 20 megabytes of random access memory (RAM) and approximately 20 megabytes of available disk storage space. Additionally, DRINKware requires Microsoft Windows 95 or better, and a functional e-mail account. Software is available only on CD-ROM.
How Much Will It Cost?
DRINKware is provided at no cost to any regulated entity, consultant or contractor who would like to use the software.
To Obtain DRINKware
To obtain your copy of DRINKware, please complete both the
software request form and the
Ohio EPA Electronic Data Submittal Memorandum of Agreement. Both of these forms are in .pdf format, which requires the Adobe Acrobat reader. This reader can be downloaded at no cost from Adobe.
A personal identification number (PIN) will be assigned to the responsible official designated by each facility. When data is ready to be exported from DRINKware for transmission to Ohio EPA, DRINKware will prompt the user for a PIN. The PIN appended to the data is the electronic "signature", providing the authorization for the information submitted.
