STATE IMPLEMENTATION PLANS (SIP) - 1997 PM 2.5 Annual Standard
Currently, Ohio has counties designated nonattainment for the Annual Standard
The following are the specific nonattainment areas for those counties which the map identifies as "Partial County" nonattainment:
Adams County: Monroe and Sprigg Townships
Ashtabula County: Ashtabula Township
Coshocton County: Franklin Township
Gallia County: Cheshire Township
Nonattainment Area Recommendation
Redesignations and Maintenance Plans
On April 1, 2010, Ohio EPA submitted a Clean Data Request to USEPA for the PM2.5 Annual Standard. The request asks USEPA to make a determination of attainment of the PM2.5 annual standard for the currently nonattaining areas in the State of Ohio. A clean data request and determination by USEPA does not relieve Ohio from Clean Air Act requirements or the requirement to submit redesignation requests before an area can officially be designated to attainment. As USEPA acts on our Clean Data Requests we will post information here.
