Congratulations to Isaac Robinson CDO’s new District Chief!!!
Ohio EPA has named long-time employee Isaac Robinson, III, chief of the Agency's Central District Office.
"I am pleased to have Isaac become the Central District Office chief," said Ohio EPA Director Chris Korleski. "Isaac's knowledge and many years of experience make him an excellent choice to lead the Central District Office."
Robinson joined Ohio EPA's air pollution control program in 1987. He has been manager of the district's air pollution control program since 1996. He has experience with enforcement; compliance assistance; rule and policy development; and processing of permits. Robinson also was a member of the Agency's team responsible for improving the air permitting process.
The Central District Office includes 10 counties in the Central Ohio area. Staff enforce regulations dealing with air pollution, water pollution, waste management and drinking water safety.
Robinson has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University. He lives in Columbus.
Robinson will replace Craig Butler, who has been named chief of Ohio EPA's Southeast District Office in Logan, effective Oct. 1.
ABOUT CDO
When Ohio EPA was formed in 1972, it began operation with four district offices with the same jurisdictions as the Ohio Department of Health districts. In 1974 the Governor created a district office in Columbus in order to better serve the needs of the central Ohio area and in order to have a district office closer to the state capital.
Today, the Central District Office (CDO) has jurisdiction for ten counties, including Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, Morrow, Knox and Union counties
On December 5, 2005 Central District Office moved to 50 West Town Street, Suite 700 in Columbus.
